چکیده

This study investigated the feasibility of producing L-lactic acid (LA) from dry corn stalk (DCS) that was pretreated by ensiling an anaerobic microbial community consisting Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus fermentum, and Enterococcus durans. After 28 days ensiling, LA acetic content in microsilage 2.04 ± 0.08% 0.38 0.01%, respectively, pH 4.47 0.13. became dominant microbiota during process. Twenty-eight-day-old then subjected to fermentation B. coagulans produce a simultaneous saccharification co-fermentation The enzymatic hydrolysis yield reached >96%. maximal concentration 18.54 0.52 g/L with substrate 5%, where 0.31 0.01 g/g DCS optical purity product >97%. Anaerobic is viable for pretreatment biomass production value-added chemicals.

Lactic Acid Production from Pretreated Hydrolysates of Corn Stover by a Newly Developed Bacillus coagulans Strain

An inhibitor-tolerance strain, Bacillus coagulans GKN316, was developed through atmospheric and room temperature plasma (ARTP) mutation and evolution experiment in condensed dilute-acid hydrolysate (CDH) of corn stover. The fermentabilities of other hydrolysates with B. coagulans GKN316 and the parental strain B. coagulans NL01 were assessed. When using condensed acid-catalyzed steam-exploded h...

Betaine and Beet Molasses Enhance L-Lactic Acid Production by Bacillus coagulans

Lactic acid is an important chemical with various industrial applications, and it can be efficiently produced by fermentation, in which Bacillus coagulans strains present excellent performance. Betaine can promote lactic acid fermentation as an effective osmoprotectant. Here, positive effect of betaine on fermentation by B. coagulans is revealed. Betaine could enhance lactic acid production by ...

Contributory roles of two l-lactate dehydrogenases for l-lactic acid production in thermotolerant Bacillus coagulans

Thermotolerant Bacillus coagulans is considered to be a more promising producer for bio-chemicals, due to its capacity to withstand harsh conditions. Two L-lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) encoding genes (ldhL1 and ldhL2) and one D-LDH encoding gene (ldhD) were annotated from the B. coagulans DSM1 genome. Transcriptional analysis revealed that the expression of ldhL2 was undetectable while the ldhL1...

Repeated open fermentative production of optically pure L-lactic acid using a thermophilic Bacillus sp. strain.

A thermophilic Bacillus sp. strain 2-6 was used in completely open repeated batch fermentation for producing optically pure L-lactic acid. Up to 107 g l(-1) L-lactic acid of optical purity 99.8% was obtained with NaOH as pH regulator. Unexpectedly, accumulated cells did not necessarily lead to increased L-lactic acid production. Kinetic and viable cells analyses revealed that L-lactic acid prod...

Efficient production of polymer-grade L-lactic acid from corn stover hydrolyzate by thermophilic Bacillus sp. strain XZL4

Lactic acid has been identified as one of the top 30 potential building-block chemicals from biomass. Therefore, the search for cheap raw materials is an objective to reduce the production costs. Efficient polymer-grade L-lactic acid production was achieved in this report by a thermophilic strain Bacillus sp. XZL4 using corn stover hydrolyzate as sole carbon source. High L-lactic acid concentra...
